Introduction

A critical aspect of dealing with actions is communicating them in a timely way to their owners. boardcycle's action owner export option allows you to quickly and easily export an individualised action list to send to each action owner.

There are two ways to find and export action lists for specific people:

  1. from the People tab of a company

  2. from the Action tab of a company or forum

Exporting from the Action tab or a company or forum

To export actions for an individual action owner:

  1. go to the People tab of the relevant company

  2. find the relevant person in the list and click the action icon next to their name

  3. you will then be taken to a page showing only the actions of that person - click the Export button

  4. select Owner Actions

The actions export for the person chosen will then download to the downloads folder of your computer.

Worth knowing: No actions icon means no open actions

If there is no actions icon showing in the People tab next to the name of a person, it means that there are no open actions allocated to that person.

Exporting from the Action tab or a company or forum

To export actions for an individual action owner:

  1. go to the Actions tab at a company or forum level

  2. in the Owners column of the action table, find the relevant person and click on their name

  3. you will then be taken to a page showing only the actions of that person - click the Export button

  4. select Owner Actions

The actions export for the person chosen will then download to the downloads folder of your computer.

Worth knowing: set your browser to automatically open the agenda

Most modern browsers (e.g. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc) can be set to automatically open .docx files, meaning that once your agenda downloads, it will automatically open without you needing to open it manually.

If you wish to do this, we recommend that do a web search for instructions on how to do this for the specific browser you use.
