Notifying action owners of their actions

Learn how to notify action owners of the actions assigned to them after a meeting

Written by Richard Conway

Introduction

Once you have added the actions that have arisen at a meeting into boardcycle (see this article), you will naturally want to notify the owners of those actions. Boardcycle makes this a quick and easy process that you can do in the same place you added the actions.

How to notify action owners of their actions

Once you have added the actions for a meeting, you can notify all or some of the action owners in a single step as follows:

  1. at the top of the Actions Raised tab of the meeting where you added the actions, click the Send Notifications button

  2. all actions owners who have access to their personal portal will be selected automatically. Deselect anyone who you do not wish to notify

  3. if you would like to be cc'd on the emails sent, select the CC me on each email checkbox

  4. click Confirm and Send

Worth knowing: you can only notify actions owners with portal access

Boardcycle will only send notifications to action owners who have been granted access to their personal portal in boardcycle. You can do this by clicking the Grant Access button shown above, or by following the steps in this article.

What does the notification email look like?

Depending on your company settings, notification emails to action owners will either include or exclude action details as shown below:

Including action details

Excluding action details
