Introduction

The time a meeting will start is a critical piece of information to include on meeting agendas - but you do not always know this information at the time you start building your agenda. Accordingly, you are not required to specify a start time for a meeting in order to create that meeting or build an agenda.

Worth knowing: Durations will be shown until a start time is set
The specific timing of sections and items on your agenda cannot be determined until a start time has been set. Accordingly, until that is done, only durations will be shown for these items both in boardcycle and in any exported agenda.

You can set or change the start time of a meeting at any time.

Setting the start time of a meeting

To set the start time of a meeting:

  1. open the relevant meeting

  2. click the Agenda tab if it is not already open

  3. enter the start time by either:

    1. clicking underneath the heading Start Time and typing the time

    2. clicking the clock icon and selecting a time

Worth knowing: Start time autosaves

There is no save button when you enter the start time for a meeting - instead, the start time you set, and any change you make to it, will autosave

Once you have set a start time, you will see that any sections or items on your agenda will now have specific timings which have been automatically calculated based on the start time and their duration.

Changing the start time of a meeting

To change the start time of a meeting, simply replace the previous start time set with a new one using the steps set out above.

Worth knowing: Start time cannot be removed once set

Once a start time for a meeting has been set, it can be changed at any time but cannot be removed.
